Satya Sainath Pilla is a development professional who works at the intersection of policy, programmes, and practice to strengthen development outcomes for rural and indigenous communities in India.
He specialises in connecting government systems with grassroots realities and has led multi-stakeholder initiatives that enhance community resilience and improve key development indicators.
Prior to joining CPSP, Satya worked in partnership with state governments and civil society organisations to implement and scale solutions in sustainable agriculture, forest-based livelihoods, public service delivery and policy advocacy to strengthen rain-fed farming systems. His work focuses on making development programmes work effectively on the ground, ensuring that local knowledge and community voices guide the process from design to execution.
An alumnus of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, he also extends his commitment to storytelling through photo essays that document the lives and landscapes of rural India. His photography has been recognised in national and international forum.
