Indika Gawarammana is Professor of Medicine, and Head of the Department of Medicine, as well as the Director of Clinical Research for the South Asian Clinical Toxicology Research Collaboration at the University of Peradeniya. He is President of the Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology (APAMT) and a member of the Sri Lankan Pesticide Technical Advisory Committee. His major aim is to reduce deaths from pesticide poisoning, plant poisoning and snake envenomation in Sri Lanka and South Asia.
