Tell us about your role?
I am the primary liaison for CABI’s institutional partnerships, managing relationships with key international stakeholders and donors. Understanding rural development policies and donor strategies, I apply expertise to help shape new development programmes that prioritize sustainability, food security and agricultural resilience.
Why is this work important to you?
With a background in integrated crop and pest management, I am passionate about reducing negative side-effects of highly hazardous pesticides that are used in many countries. CABI recognizes the urgent need to increase use of lower-risk and more sustainable plant protection products without an overreliance on chemical pesticides. We work with national and local government, commercial enterprises, and farmers, to reduce pesticide-related risks when sustainably managing crop pests and diseases.
This profile has been compiled for International Women’s Day 2025, to celebrate the incredible women worldwide who are helping to prevent deaths from pesticide self-poisoning.
