Charles Ssemugabo is a Research Associate in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH). Charles’s current work involves conducting pesticide exposure and risk assessment for potential human health risks integrating epidemiology and biostatistics methods. Charles’s other work consists of identifying highly hazardous pesticides and advocating for their ban on agricultural use in Uganda, a project he collaboratively works on with the Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention (CPSP). Charles has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented in and attended over 20 national and international conferences.
